A steady 350mA driver for Collingwood LED fittings
The PLD-Unidrive 350mA is a constant current driver, built to give a fixed 350mA output to any Collingwood fitting that calls for it. It takes mains power in and delivers exactly what the LEDs need, nothing more.
The specific unit
This version is IP20 rated and finished in white plastic, small and light enough to sit inside a ceiling void without adding bulk. It measures 103mm long by 67mm wide by 22mm high and weighs just 0.1kg, so it tucks away easily behind a fitting or inside a loft space.
How It Works
Inside the casing sits circuitry that converts your incoming mains supply into a constant 350mA current, matched to the fitting it's feeding. It supports two dimming methods: simple push dimming through the switch, or smoother 1 to 10V dimming when wired to a compatible control such as Collingwood's PDC or grid dimmer range. Because it's Class II, it's double insulated and doesn't need an earth connection.
Where It Works Best
Being IP20, this driver needs a dry indoor spot, think loft space, ceiling void, cupboard or plant room, rather than anywhere exposed to damp or weather. It's a common choice behind outdoor fittings too, as long as the driver itself stays in a dry enclosure and only the cable runs out to the light. Always check the fitting's own spec sheet first: running 350mA into a fitting designed for a different current can leave it underpowered or overdriven.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has focused on LED technology since 2002. Components like this driver are part of that specialism, built to work reliably alongside the fire rated and waterproof fittings the brand says helped bring dimmable LED lighting into the UK electrical wholesale market early on. Collingwood also holds an EcoVadis Gold medal, putting it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
What's the difference between push dimming and 1 to 10V dimming?
Push dimming lets you dim by pressing a standard light switch on and off, while 1 to 10V dimming needs a compatible control, such as Collingwood's PDC or grid dimmer range, wired to the driver for smoother adjustment.
Can I use this driver with fittings from other brands?
It's designed and tested for Collingwood fittings that specify a 350mA output. Check the fitting's own spec sheet to confirm 350mA is correct before wiring it in.
Can this driver be fitted outdoors?
No. It's IP20 rated, so it needs to be kept in a dry indoor location such as a loft, ceiling void or cupboard, even if it's feeding an outdoor fitting.
Does it need a separate dimmer switch?
Only if you want 1 to 10V dimming. Push dimming works through a standard light switch, no extra control needed.
