A Brighter LED Strip That Handles Damp Conditions
The LSC86 is one of Collingwood's higher output strips, running at 17W per metre so it throws out a genuinely useful level of light rather than just a soft glow. It carries an IP68 rating, which means it's sealed against dust and can cope with being submerged briefly, so it's a sensible choice anywhere moisture is part of daily life.
White Flexible Tape in Three Colour Temperatures
The strip itself is a flexible white tape, 12mm wide, with a CRI above 90 so colours under it look accurate rather than washed out. You can choose 2700K for a warm, cosy tone, 3000K for a slightly crisper warm white, or 4000K for a cooler, more neutral light. Because it's cut to order in bespoke lengths up to 10m, you order exactly the run you need rather than piecing together fixed lengths.
How It Works
- Wired in parallel, so brightness stays even along the run rather than dimming towards the far end.
- Needs a separate 24V DC driver, which isn't included and should be sized to the length you order.
- Dims when paired with a compatible driver, giving you control over the light level.
- Beam spread is 120 degrees, so light spreads out generously rather than staying tightly focused.
Where It Works Best
Because it's IP68 rated, the LSC86 is at home in bathrooms and kitchens, under worktops, around mirrors, or along shower walls, as well as in covered outdoor areas like porches and pergolas where a fully sealed strip earns its keep. It's just as capable indoors in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, offices and stairways, for coving, shelving, or under cabinet runs where you want a stronger wash of light rather than a subtle accent.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has focused specifically on LED technology since 2002. The company says it was among the first to bring fully sealed, waterproof LED strip systems like this one to the UK electrical wholesale market, alongside fire rated and mains dimmable ranges. Collingwood has also been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
Does the LSC86 come with a driver?
No. It needs a separate 24V DC driver, which is sold separately and should be matched to the length of strip you order.
Can I dim this strip?
Yes, as long as it's run from a compatible dimmable driver.
Can it be used outside?
Its IP68 rating means it can be used in covered outdoor areas, though it should still be protected from direct, prolonged exposure to the elements.
What lengths can I order?
The LSC86 is cut to bespoke lengths up to 10m per order, so you get the exact run you need.
Can it be returned if I order the wrong length?
No. Because each strip is cut to order, it's supplied on a non-returnable basis.
