An Extra Metre When You Need It
Sometimes the last LED LYTE downlight in a run just isn't quite where you need it. This 1 metre extension lead plugs straight into the circuit and gives you the extra distance to reach the next fitting, without opening up new wiring.
What It's Made From
The lead itself is a simple plastic connector housing with the coiled cable attached. It's a compact piece, measuring 12mm high, 40mm long and 14mm wide, so it tucks away neatly once it's connected.
How It Works
- Plugs in between two LED LYTE points to extend the circuit by 1 metre.
- Wired in series, so power passes straight through to the next fitting in the run.
- Each extension socket takes one additional LED LYTE fitting.
- Any socket left unused should be closed off with an LED LYTE blanking plug to keep the circuit complete.

This lead earns its keep on longer LED LYTE runs, kitchen islands, hallway ceilings, or multi room installations, where the standard connecting cable just won't stretch to the next downlight. It's a straightforward way to reposition a fitting or bridge a gap in the run, rather than rewiring the whole circuit.
