One Downlight, Four Colour Temperatures, Two Wattages
The H2 Lite CSP is a recessed downlight built so you don't need a different SKU for every room. Instead of picking a fixed wattage and colour temperature before you buy, you set both once the fitting is out of the box: a switch on the back gives you a choice of 4W or 6W output, and another lets you choose one of four colour temperatures, from a warm 2200K up to a cooler 4000K, with 2700K and 3000K in between. One product in stock covers jobs that would otherwise need four or five different downlights.
The White Bezel Version
This version has a white bezel, Ø90mm across, sitting flush to the ceiling with a recess depth of 48mm, so it fits a standard downlight void without any resizing. Behind the bezel the housing is mild steel and VO rated plastic, and the whole fitting weighs just 225g, light enough that it doesn't put any real strain on the plasterboard or the spring clips holding it in place.
How It Works
Both switches sit on the driver at the back of the fitting, so the wattage and colour temperature get set before it goes into the ceiling, not afterwards. At 4W it gives out 460 to around 520 lumens depending on the colour temperature chosen, and at 6W that rises to up to 780 lumens, all through a fixed 55 degree beam. It's CRI80, so colours still read fairly true under it, and it's TRIAC mains dimmable if you want to bring the level down further on a dimmer circuit. Installation uses smooth glide spring clips, large piano key terminals and a 2 part connector, so the light engine can be unclipped and separated from its wiring for maintenance or replacement without disturbing the connections behind it.
Where It Works Best
Rated IP65 from below and IP20 from above the ceiling line, the H2 Lite CSP covers bathroom zone 1 as well as ordinary living spaces, so the same fitting works across living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, offices and bathrooms rather than needing a separate product for the wet room. See our guide to bathroom lighting zones if you're not sure which zone your ceiling falls into. Because the wattage and colour temperature are both set on site, it also suits a job that spans several rooms with different lighting needs, since the same product can be configured differently for each one.
Collingwood Lighting
This downlight is fire rated for use through insulated ceiling joists, and Collingwood says fire rated LED downlights like this one were part of what it brought to the UK electrical wholesale market early on, alongside fully sealed and mains dimmable products. The company has specialised in LED technology since 2002, designing and manufacturing from its base in Sywell, Northamptonshire. Collingwood has also been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
What's the difference between the 4W and 6W settings?
The 4W setting gives out 460 to around 520 lumens depending on the colour temperature selected, while the 6W setting reaches up to 780 lumens. Both are set on the same fitting rather than needing a different product.
Can I change the colour temperature once the ceiling is finished?
No. The colour temperature switch sits on the back of the driver, so it needs setting before the fitting goes into the ceiling void, not adjusted afterwards.
Is this downlight suitable for a bathroom?
Yes. It's rated IP65 from below, which covers bathroom zone 1, though it's only IP20 from above the ceiling line.
Do I need to buy a separate driver?
No. The driver is built into the fitting and connects through a 2 part connector, so there's nothing extra to source.
Is it dimmable?
Yes. It's TRIAC mains dimmable, so it works with a standard mains dimmer switch on the circuit.
