A Ground Light Built To Be Walked On
The GL200 sits flush in a path, deck or driveway and takes foot traffic and vehicle weight without a second thought. It's part of Collingwood's large domed marker range, made from polished marine grade stainless steel 316 so it copes with rain, grit and salt air as well as it copes with being stepped on every day.
Stainless Steel, 2 Facets, 2 Directions
This version has its two light windows set opposite each other on the sloped edge of the dome, so light spreads both ways along a path or step rather than to one side only. The finish is a brushed marine grade 316 stainless steel dome with a dark recessed lens, built to stay looking good outdoors for years.
How It Works
It's a straight to mains fitting with the driver built in, so there's no separate transformer to source or hide away. At 5.7W through a 90 degree beam angle it gives a soft marker glow of around 10 lumens per window, enough to define an edge without floodlighting the garden. Choose from 2700K, 3000K or 4000K to match the rest of your outdoor lighting. Parallel wiring means each fitting runs independently, so one failing unit won't take out the rest of the run.
Where It Works Best
Use it to mark the edge of a path, a step, a driveway or a deck where people need a visual cue after dark. The IP65 rating and IK10 impact resistance make it a sensible choice for coastal properties, car parks and anywhere it might get walked or driven over. Its low profile keeps the light source out of sight during the day, so it reads as a clean dome set into the ground until it's switched on.
About Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has specialised in LED technology since 2002. The brand says it was among the first to bring fire rated, fully sealed and mains dimmable LED fittings to the UK electrical wholesale market, and it has since been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability. For a walk over light like the GL200, that background in sealed, weatherproof LED design is exactly what you're relying on underfoot.

Questions People Ask
Can you walk or drive over this light?
Yes. It carries an IK10 impact rating and is built for genuine walk over and drive over use in paths, driveways and car parks.
Does it need a separate driver or transformer?
No. The driver is built into the fitting and it wires straight to the mains supply.
What does 2 facets, 2 directions mean?
The two light windows sit on opposite sides of the dome, so this version throws light both ways along a path or step edge instead of in a single direction.
Is it suitable for a coastal garden?
Yes. It's made from marine grade 316 stainless steel and rated IP65, which is the specification Collingwood recommends for coastal and other exposed sites.
Can I dim this light?
No, this fitting is not dimmable.
