A DALI Driver Built for Colour Changing LED Runs
The CCDRV75DALI is a 200W driver for RGB and RGBW LED strip and fittings, sold separately, that takes its instructions from a DALI control signal rather than a simple dimmer switch. It's the part of a colour changing lighting scheme nobody sees once the ceiling is closed up, but everything downstream depends on it.
The Housing and Fit
It comes in a compact aluminium enclosure, 330mm long, 79mm wide and 39mm deep, finished in plain silver metal with a small digital display on the top face for setup and diagnostics. Cable entries sit at one end, keeping connections tidy inside a ceiling void or plant cupboard.
How It Works
The driver reads a DALI signal from the building's lighting control system and converts incoming mains power into a steady constant voltage feed, selectable at 12V or 24V DC. It splits that output across four channels, each rated to 4.1A, for a combined total of 8.4A and 200W. On its own it produces no light. Its job is to take mains power in, take a DALI command in, and hand a clean, controllable voltage to the RGB or RGBW strip or fittings connected to it.
Where It Works Best
This is a driver for projects already running, or planning to run, a DALI lighting control network, rather than a single room's basic dimmer switch. Expect to find it in a ceiling void, a plant room or a service cupboard, feeding a run of colour changing LED strip in a bar, retail unit, feature ceiling or landscaped garden scheme. Because it's rated IP20, it needs to be installed indoors, in a dry enclosed space away from moisture.

Questions People Ask
Does this driver produce any light itself?
No. It has no light output on its own. It's a power and control unit that converts mains electricity into a constant voltage feed for separately purchased RGB or RGBW LED strip or fittings.
Can it run both RGB and RGBW products?
Yes. It's designed to handle both RGB and RGBW colour changing LED loads across its four output channels.
Do I need a separate DALI controller to use this driver?
Yes. The CCDRV75DALI takes its dimming and colour instructions from a DALI control signal, so it needs to be wired into an existing or planned DALI lighting control system.
Can I install this outdoors?
No. It's rated IP20, which means it's designed for indoor use only, in a dry enclosed space such as a ceiling void or plant cupboard.
What voltage output does it provide?
It provides a constant voltage output selectable at either 12V or 24V DC, matching whichever the connected RGB or RGBW strip or fitting requires.
