A Downlight That Almost Isn't There
The Collingwood 1901 is a trimless downlight, so there is no visible ring or bezel once it is installed. The plasterboard fixing plate sits flush with your ceiling and gets skimmed over, leaving just a neat, dark aperture with the light doing the work.
Finished in Black
This version has a black baffle and housing, rather than the white alternative, so the aperture reads with more contrast against a pale ceiling. The body is aluminium and the position is fixed rather than adjustable, so it works best where you already know exactly where you want the light to fall.
How It Works
Each fitting draws 9.6W total and comes in a choice of fixed colour temperatures: 2700K extra warm white, 3000K warm white, 4000K cool white, or a dim to warm option that moves down to 1800K as you dim it. Colour rendering is CRI90+, so whatever it's lighting keeps its true colour. Beam angle choices are 12°, 24° or 50° for the fixed white colour temperatures, or 24° or 45° if you choose the dim to warm option.
The driver is supplied with the fitting but wired in separately via cable, rather than built into the housing, and you choose between mains, 1 to 10V or DALI dimming to suit the rest of your circuit. The ceiling cut out needed is 65 to 78mm.
Where It Works Best
With versions rated IP44 and IP65, this downlight covers most rooms in the house: living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, hallways, offices, stairwells, and bathrooms where the higher rated version is specified. It also suits commercial spaces where a clean, low profile ceiling finish matters more than a visible fitting.

Questions People Ask
Will I be able to see a trim or bezel once it's fitted?
No. The white ring is a plasterboard fixing plate, not a visible trim. It gets plastered flush with the ceiling, leaving only the black baffle showing.
Do I need to buy a separate driver?
No, the driver is included with the fitting, though it's supplied as a separate unit wired in via cable rather than built into the housing.
What size hole do I need to cut in the ceiling?
The cut out required is 65 to 78mm.
Can I choose the colour temperature after I've bought it?
No, the colour temperature is fixed at the point of manufacture, so you need to choose 2700K, 3000K, 4000K or dim to warm when you order.
Which dimming type should I pick?
That depends on the driver already fitted to your circuit. Choose mains dimming, 1 to 10V, or DALI to match it.
