A Slim Column of Light That Drops Exactly Where You Need It
The Collingwood 1901 Surface Mounted Pendant is a small cylindrical light on a length of cable, built for anywhere you want a single point of light lower than the ceiling itself. Instead of recessing into the plasterboard, it sits proud on a round ceiling plate and drops down on 1.5m of adjustable fabric cable, so you can set it exactly where the light is needed.
The All White Finish
This version is finished in white aluminium from the canopy right down to the cylindrical shade, so it reads as a clean, minimal line rather than a feature piece. It sits happily against a white or pale ceiling and lets the light do the work, rather than the fitting.
How It Works
- Runs at a total of 9.6W from an integrated LED source.
- Available in 2700K extra warm white, 3000K warm white or 4000K cool white, plus a dim to warm version that shifts from 3000K down to 1800K as you dim it.
- Choose a beam angle to suit the space, 12°, 24° or 50°, with a 45° option on the dim to warm version.
- Dimmable, working from mains dimming as standard or a specified driver for other control systems, and wired in parallel so several can share a circuit.
Where It Works Best
Because it hangs low and throws a tight, direct pool of light, it earns its keep over a kitchen island or dining table, where you want light focused on a surface rather than spread across a ceiling. It's rated for bathroom zone 2, so it also works well over a vanity or bath area, and beyond that it suits living rooms, hallways, offices, stairwells and commercial spaces wherever a single, slim drop of light is wanted.

Can this pendant be installed in a bathroom?
Yes. It's IP44 rated and suitable for bathroom zone 2, as well as kitchens, living rooms and other indoor spaces.
Does it come with a dimmable driver?
Yes, a driver is supplied with the fitting and wired in via cable, giving mains dimming as standard, with the option to fit a specified driver for other dimming systems.
How long is the cable and can it be adjusted?
It comes with 1.5m of fabric cable that can be adjusted, so you can set the pendant to hang at the drop that suits your ceiling height and the space below it.
What beam angle should I choose?
A 12° beam gives the tightest, most focused pool of light, 24° is a middle ground, and 50° spreads the light more widely. The dim to warm version also offers a 45° option.
Can more than one of these be installed on the same circuit?
Yes, it's wired in parallel, which makes it straightforward to run several pendants from the same circuit, for example in a row over a kitchen island.
