Every other Buster + Punch light is wired into a ceiling or a wall. Takeout isn't. It is the brand's first genuinely portable design, built around the same solid metal body and cross knurl detailing as the rest of the range, but free to move from a dinner table to a patio to a windowsill without a cable in sight.

Takeout comes in Brass or Steel. Brass gives it the warmer, more traditional metal tone that matches Buster + Punch's other brass hardware, while Steel keeps it cooler and more neutral, so pick whichever finish already sits elsewhere in the room.

How It Works

Inside the toughened glass shade sits Buster + Punch's own light pipe, an integrated LED that runs at up to 130 lumens and a warm 2700K colour temperature, controlled by a touch button with three dimming steps, 100%, 60% and 40%. It is built around a rechargeable LiFePO4 battery, charged with the supplied magnetic USB Type A cable in around 5 to 6 hours, and holds charge for over 14 hours at full brightness. Rated IP65, it is wet rated for outdoor use, and the LED itself is rated for over 25,000 hours.

Where It Works Best

Because it has no cord and no fixed position, Takeout works anywhere the hardwired Heavy Metal or Hero fixtures can't, a dinner table, a patio, a picnic blanket, or simply carried from room to room as an evening light source. It is the one piece in this batch designed to move with you rather than stay fixed in one spot.

Buster + Punch built its name on solid metal, knurled hardware wired straight into a wall or ceiling, the kind of thing Massimo Buster Minale was making by hand in a Shoreditch garage before the company existed. Takeout is the first time that same cross knurl detailing has been built into something with no cord at all, proof the brand is still willing to rework its own ideas rather than repeat them.
