The Switch That Talks to Another

Most toggles just turn a light on or off. This one is built to work as half of a conversation, wired as an intermediate switch so a single light can be controlled from more than one place. The plate is solid stainless steel in smoked bronze, the toggle carries the diamond cut cross knurl pattern, and the whole thing is secured with solid metal coin screws.

Choose Your Finish

The plate is smoked bronze. From there the toggle arm and coin screws can stay in matching smoked bronze for a tonal look, switch to brass for warmth, or steel for a cooler contrast against the dark plate.

How It Works

This is a 3 way intermediate toggle, rated 10AX at 220 to 250V AC, 50Hz, tested to BS EN 60669. Unlike a standard 2 way switch that only works from one location, an intermediate switch is installed between two ordinary 2 way switches on the same circuit, letting the light be controlled from three or more points along a run.

Where It Works Best

This is the switch for a staircase, long hallway or open plan room where you want to turn the same light on or off from more than one spot, switching on downstairs and off again at the top, for example. If you only need a single switching point, the standard 2 way toggle in this collection is the simpler option.
