A Wall Mural Built From Overlapping Wood Panels
The Tria Set 8 links eight organic, pebble shaped panels into one loose, overlapping cluster, each one angled slightly differently so the whole composition reads more like a piece of wall art than a conventional light fitting. An LED terminal sits behind each panel, so once switched on, a soft halo of light spills out around the edges rather than shining directly outward.
Two Finishes: Natural Oak and White Satin Lacquer
Natural Oak keeps the wood grain visible across all eight panels, giving the halo of light a warm, textured backdrop. White Satin Lacquer swaps the timber look for a smooth, matt white surface, letting the panel shapes stand out more starkly against a painted wall. Both finishes share the same aluminium internal structure behind the panels.
How It Works
Each panel houses its own LED terminal, and together the set runs at 103.2W and 11,520 lumens in a warm 2700K white with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering. The panels sit forward of the wall on a subtly movable mount, so light escapes around their edges rather than from the panel face itself. It's compatible with Triac dimming, and despite being built from eight linked panels, the whole set wires back to a single wall connection point.
Where It Works Best
Its scale and sculptural form suit a feature wall in a living room, dining room or hallway, where the panel cluster can be read as one composition. It's equally at home in a hotel reception or office corridor, where a run of Tria panels can carry soft, ambient light along a wall without needing a row of separate fittings.
Made By Bover
Bover began in Barcelona in 1996, when a sketch Joana Bover drew for an architect friend grew into a lighting brand of its own. The company still designs and produces its lighting in Spain, working from its base in Cardedeu near Barcelona. Alongside hand woven outdoor pieces in synthetic fibre, Bover has a strong indoor woodworking side, from the wood veneer panels used here in the Tria family through to the wood lattice Dome range, built from over 170 individually woven beech strips. Across both, the designs carry a distinctly Mediterranean sensibility. Bover opened a subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012, bringing the brand to the US.
