A River Stone Shape for Outdoor Walls

The Tria 05 takes its rounded, asymmetric silhouette from a weathered river stone, a shape you don't usually see on an exterior wall light. Fixed flush to the wall, it throws its light up and out from behind its own edge rather than through a visible lens, so the glow reads as a soft ambient wash rather than a hard beam. It works equally well as a single accent or repeated in a row along a longer wall.

Graphite Brown Metal or Teak Wood

In Graphite Brown Metal, the Tria 05 has a dark, matte painted aluminium body that recedes against stone or render and lets the light do the talking. In Teak Wood, the same shape is finished in a warm, grained timber that sits more naturally against timber cladding or planting. Both share the same aluminium construction underneath, so the choice comes down to whether you want the fitting to disappear or to stand out as its own textured detail.

How It Works

An integrated LED sits inside the fitting, rated at 11.5W and 1346 lumens with a warm 2700K colour temperature and a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering outdoors. It's compatible with a Triac dimmer, so brightness can be set to suit the space. The IP66 rating means it's built to handle direct rain and full weather exposure, and Class I electrics run through it. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its compact size and directional glow suit garden walls, terraces, courtyards and entrances, anywhere you want gentle wall washed light rather than a bright, direct beam. Grouped in pairs or a longer run, it also works well lighting a path or the approach to a front door.

The company still designs and manufactures from Spain, based in Cardedeu near Barcelona, and carries a distinctly Mediterranean design sensibility across its range.
