A Wall Light Built to Multiply
The Tria 03 is a wall lamp built around a single rectangular light panel that can be used on its own or linked together with more Tria panels into a longer run. Each panel connects through an internal metal structure, either wall mounting individually or joining a modular installation from a single wall connection point. That flexibility makes it as much at home as a single feature light in a hallway as it is forming a long wall mural of light along a hotel corridor or office reception.
Two Front Panel Finishes: Natural Oak and White Satin Lacquer
The Natural Oak finish brings a warm, grained timber face to the wall, and its surface is subtly movable, so the light catches it differently depending on the angle. The White Satin Lacquer finish keeps the same organic diffuser shape but in a plain, pale finish that sits quietly against most wall colours. Both front panels double as diffusers rather than plain covers, and both create the same soft interplay of light and shadow across their organic form.
How It Works
Light comes from an integrated LED terminal behind the panel, rated at 17W and 1920 lumens in a warm 2700K white with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering. The Tria 03 works with a Triac dimmer, so brightness can be adjusted to suit the room. Its internal metal structure is what allows several panels to be wired from a single wall connection point, so more can be added later without needing extra wiring points. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Used on its own, the Tria 03 suits a hallway, bedroom or living room wall as a quiet, sculptural piece of light. Linked into a run, it works just as well in a kitchen or dining room as it does in a commercial setting such as an office or hotel reception, where a longer wall mural of light says more than several separate fittings would.
Made By Bover
Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover turned a sketch drawn for an architect friend's project into the start of a lighting brand. The company still designs and manufactures its lighting from Cardedeu, near Barcelona. Outdoors, Bover is best known for hand woven synthetic fibre pieces, and indoors it carries that same craft into intricate wood lattice fixtures such as the Dome family, built from over 170 individually woven beech strips. Across the range there's a distinctly Mediterranean design sensibility. Bover opened a US subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012.
