A Wall Light Built From Light and Shadow
The Tria 01 is a small, sculptural wall light designed to work alone or link up into something bigger. Its front panel sits slightly proud of the fitting, angled just enough that the LED behind it throws soft, moving shadows across its own surface. On its own it reads as a quiet accent piece. Wired together with more Tria units, it becomes a longitudinal light panel running along a wall, all from a single connection point.
Natural Oak or White Satin Lacquer
In Natural Oak, the front panel is a real wood veneer, so the grain shows through and shifts slightly from one piece to the next, giving it a warmer, more organic feel. In White Satin Lacquer, the same panel is finished in a smooth, even white that reads as clean and architectural rather than textured. Both sit on the same aluminium internal structure, so the choice is really about which surface you want catching the light.
How It Works
An integrated LED sits behind the movable front panel, rated at 8.7W and 960 lumens with a warm 2700K colour temperature and a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering. It works with a Triac dimming driver, so brightness can be set to suit the room. The internal metal structure means a single Tria 01 can be wall mounted on its own, or several can be joined from one wall connection point to build a wider light installation.
Where It Works Best
Its small footprint suits a hallway, living room or bedroom wall where you want a soft accent rather than a main light source. In a home office it works well beside a desk, and the same modular idea scales up nicely in hotel receptions, corridors and other commercial spaces where a run of Tria units can form a wall mural of light.
Made By Bover
Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996 by Joana Bover, starting from a sketch she drew for an architect friend's project. The brand still designs and produces its lighting in Spain, from its base in Cardedeu near Barcelona. Alongside intricate wood lattice fixtures such as the Dome family, built from over 170 individually woven beech strips, Bover is also known for hand woven synthetic fibre pieces for outdoor use. A Mediterranean design sensibility runs through the range, and the brand opened a US subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012.
