A Two Metre Ring That Glows From Every Angle

The Roda S/200/V takes the same 2000mm ring as the Roda S/200 and turns the profile on its side, so the LED strip runs around a vertical, cylindrical shape rather than a flat disc. Hung over a stairwell, a long dining table or a tall entrance hall, it reads as one continuous circle of light with no visible bulbs or fittings breaking up the glow.

Brown Frame With Cream or White Diffuser

Both versions share the same brown aluminium and steel frame, so the choice comes down to the diffuser wrapped around the ring. Cream gives the circle a warmer, softer look whether it's lit or not, while white keeps it reading crisp and neutral, especially against a pale ceiling. The build underneath, including the ribbon diffuser and the LED strip itself, is identical either way.

How It Works

A continuous LED strip runs the full circumference inside the ring, so light spreads evenly around the whole shape rather than coming from separate point sources. It's rated at 93W and 4100 lumens, with a warm 2700K colour temperature and a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering. The fitting works with 1 to 10V dimming for smooth control over brightness, and it's designed for a recessed or surface mounted ceiling rose, with a 300mm ceiling plate and a maximum drop of 2000mm. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

At two metres across, the Roda S/200/V needs a room with the scale to match: tall living spaces, long dining tables, wide entrance halls or open stairwells where a single fitting can define the whole space. Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover turned a sketch for an architect friend's project into the start of a lighting brand. The company still designs and manufactures from its base in Cardedeu, just outside Barcelona, keeping a distinctly Mediterranean design language across its range. Bover is known for two very different crafts under one roof: hand woven synthetic fibre pieces built for outdoor use, and intricate wood lattice fixtures indoors, such as the Dome family, built from over 170 individually woven beech strips. The Roda belongs to the brand's sleeker, more architectural line, alongside that hand crafted work. Bover opened a US subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012.
