The Roda S/200 is the largest pendant in Bover's Roda range, a continuous ring of LED light two metres across that reads as a single unbroken loop rather than a cluster of separate fittings. It's built for rooms with the height and floor space to let that scale breathe, from long dining tables to hotel lobbies, stairwells and atriums.

Two Diffuser Tones on the Same Brown Frame

Every Roda S/200 shares the same brown aluminium and steel ring, so the choice between finishes comes down to the diffuser fitted inside it. The Cream diffuser gives the light a warmer, softer cast as it passes through the fluted surface, suiting rooms with timber tones or a softer palette. The White diffuser reads cleaner and brighter, sitting well against pale walls or a more contemporary scheme. Both share the same output, just a different tone of glow.

How It Works

A continuous LED ring runs the full circumference of the frame, rated at 93W and 4100 lumens in a warm 2700K white with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering. It's compatible with 1-10V dimming for installations set up for that level of control. The pendant drops up to 2000mm from a 300mm ceiling plate and can be fitted with either a recessed or surface mounted ceiling rose, so it adapts to different ceiling types. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its scale makes it a genuine focal point rather than background light, suited to long dining tables, double height stairwells, hotel lobbies and open plan living spaces where a single fitting needs to carry visual weight across a large area. It also groups well, hung at different heights or alongside smaller Roda sizes for a layered cluster over a table or reception desk.

Bover began in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover developed a sketch drawn for an architect friend into what became a lighting brand of its own. Production has stayed in Spain ever since, based at the company's headquarters in Cardedeu, close to Barcelona. Bover's outdoor pieces are typically hand woven from synthetic fibre, while its indoor collections include intricate wood lattice designs, among them the Dome family, built from over 170 individually woven strips of beech. A Mediterranean design sensibility runs through both. The brand expanded to the US in 2012, opening a subsidiary in Atlanta.
