A Ring of Soft, Filtered Light

The Roda S/120 is built around a continuous circle of LED light held inside an aluminium ring, so it glows evenly around its whole circumference rather than shining from a single point. It's the smaller size in the Roda pendant range, scaled for spots where the 150cm and 200cm versions would feel too large, a kitchen island, a breakfast bar, or a bedroom ceiling.

Two Diffuser Tones on the Same Brown Frame

Every Roda S/120 shares the same brown aluminium and steel frame, so the choice between finishes comes down to the diffuser on top. The cream diffuser gives the ring a warmer, softer glow that suits timber and neutral interiors. The white diffuser reads cleaner and brighter, and sits well against pale walls or contemporary schemes.

How It Works

Light comes from an integrated LED rather than a replaceable bulb, running at 49W and 2160 lumens in a warm 2700K white with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering. It's compatible with 1-10V dimming, so it can be set up to dim alongside a suitable control system. The fitting hangs on a drop adjustable up to 2000mm from a 300mm ceiling plate, and installs with either a recessed or surface mounted ceiling rose.

Where It Works Best

Its ring shaped glow suits dining tables and hallways where a soft, ambient light is preferred over a single directional beam, and its smaller scale makes it equally at home over a kitchen island, a breakfast bar, or a bedroom ceiling where a larger Roda size would overwhelm the room.

Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover turned a sketch drawn for an architect friend into the start of a lighting brand. The company still designs and produces its lighting in Spain, working from its base in Cardedeu near Barcelona. Outdoors, Bover is known for pieces hand woven from synthetic fibre. Indoors, that same craft shows up in wood lattice fixtures such as the Dome family, built from more than 170 individually woven beech strips. Across the range, the designs carry a distinctly Mediterranean feel. Bover opened a subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012, bringing the brand to the US.
