A Cordless Circular Glow for the Table

The Nit/60/R is a compact, battery powered lamp built around a circular woven top that floats on a softly lit skirt. Rather than throwing a hard beam, it opens out a gentle pool of light around itself without taking up any extra room, and because there's no cable to run, it can sit wherever you want it on a table, patio or terrace.

Three Finishes: Ivory, Stone and Terracota

Ivory with a Beige Rattan weave reads soft and neutral, sitting easily against stone or timber. Stone with a Brown Rattan weave is darker and earthier, closer to natural cane. Terracota, woven in Orange, brings a warmer, more saturated accent for a patio that wants a splash of colour. All three share the same woven screen over an aluminium frame, so the choice comes down to tone rather than build.

How It Works

An integrated LED (3W, 460 lumens, 2700K warm white, CRI 90) sends light both up and down from within the structure. The upper light peeks discreetly above the woven top to bathe whatever's resting on it, while the lower light travels down through the metal frame to indirectly illuminate the hand woven screen of nautical cord or synthetic rattan. A built in switch offers three brightness settings, 33%, 66% and 100%, and the lamp runs on a rechargeable battery, supplied with a charger rated 100 to 240V, 50/60Hz, so there's no cable trailing to a socket while it's in use.

Where It Works Best

At 600mm across, its flat woven top doubles as a small side table, so it suits poolside loungers, garden sofas or patio seating where you want somewhere to rest a drink within reach of a warm glow. Being cordless, it also travels easily between a terrace, balcony or garden gathering without needing a socket nearby.

Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996 by Joana Bover, after a sketch she drew for an architect friend's project grew into a full lighting brand. The company still designs and manufactures from Cardedeu, near Barcelona, keeping a distinctly Mediterranean design sensibility across its range. Outdoors, Bover is known for hand woven synthetic fibre pieces like the Nit, while indoors it produces intricate wood lattice fixtures such as the Dome family, built from over 170 individually woven beech strips. Bover opened a US subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012.
