The Nans S/16 is the smallest pendant in Bover's Nans range, a collection named after Cala Nans, a quiet cove near Cadaqués reached only by footpath or boat. It distils that same weathered, salt worn character into a compact, hand woven shade suited to spaces too small for its larger siblings.

Three Woven Finishes: Beige, Brown and Red

The Nans S/16 comes in three hand woven finishes. Beige keeps things soft and neutral, blending into whitewashed walls, stone or pale render. Brown reads warmer and more natural, closer to aged wood or dark stucco. Red brings a bolder, terracotta toned accent that stands out against paler surfaces. All three share the same weave over an aluminium and stainless steel frame, so the choice comes down to how much you want the pendant to stand out.

How It Works

An integrated LED sits behind the woven shade, giving out 635 lumens from 8W at a warm 2700K, with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering. It works with a Triac dimmer, so brightness can be set to suit the space. The polycarbonate diffuser and woven fibre spread the light evenly rather than casting a hard beam, and the pendant hangs from a 120mm diameter ceiling plate. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its small scale makes it a practical choice for tight corners, narrow porches or covered walkways where a larger pendant wouldn't sit comfortably. Hung in twos or threes it creates more interest than one large fitting, and its IP54 rating means it's built for outdoor use in porches, courtyards and other covered or partially exposed spaces.

Bover began in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover turned a sketch for an architect friend's project into the start of a lighting brand. The company remains rooted in Spain, designing and manufacturing from its base in Cardedeu near Barcelona.
