The Nans Portable M/49/R is the largest lamp in Bover's Nans Portable range, its rounded woven shade drawing on Cala Nans, a quiet cove near Cadaqués known for its old lighthouse and salt worn coastline. Fully cordless and rechargeable, it carries that same relaxed, coastal glow to any outdoor space with no cable to run.

Three Woven Tones: Beige, Brown and Red

Beige keeps things soft and sandy, blending easily with stone, timber or planting. Brown reads warmer and more natural, closer to the colour of driftwood or aged rattan. Red is the boldest of the three, a warm terracotta tone that stands out rather than blends in. All three share the same hand woven synthetic fibre shade over an aluminium, stainless steel and teak wood frame, so the choice comes down to which tone suits your space.

How It Works

An integrated LED sits inside the shade, rated at 3W and 460 lumens with a warm 2700K colour temperature and a CRI of 90 for natural colour rendering. Three lighting positions, 33%, 66% and 100%, are set through a switch built into the lamp, so the glow can be dialled up or down without a separate dimmer. Being fully cordless, it runs on a rechargeable battery and comes supplied with a charger that accepts 100 to 240 volts, so it can be topped up indoors and carried straight back out. Rated IP54, it's built to handle rain and everyday outdoor use.

Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover turned a sketch drawn for an architect friend into the start of a lighting brand. The company still designs and makes its pieces in Spain, based in Cardedeu near Barcelona, and brings a distinctly Mediterranean sensibility to its work.
