A Sheltered Cove, Brought Indoors

The Nans M/21/R takes its name from Cala Nans, a secluded cove near Cadaques known for its weathered lighthouse and quiet coastline. This smaller, portable version brings that same hand woven texture indoors, built for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways rather than the garden.

Three Woven Finishes

The shade comes hand woven in beige, brown or red, each one giving the same rounded silhouette a different character, from a soft sandy tone through to a warmer rust red. All three sit over an aluminium and stainless steel frame finished with cataphoresis and epoxy polyester paint.

How It Works

An integrated LED sits behind the woven shade rather than shining directly outward, and a built in switch offers three lighting positions at 33%, 66% and 100% brightness, so it moves easily from a low glow to a brighter light for reading. It's supplied with a 100 to 240 volt battery charger, so it charges up and then runs cordless, free to move from room to room or side table to side table.

Its small scale and warm glow suit bedside tables, console tables and hallway consoles, anywhere you want a soft pool of light without a cable trailing across the floor.

Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996 by Joana Bover, growing out of a sketch drawn for an architect friend's project. The brand still designs and produces its lighting in Spain, based in Cardedeu near Barcelona, and is known for hand woven synthetic fibre pieces like the Nans family alongside more intricate wood lattice designs such as the Dome. Bover opened a US subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012.
