The Garota S/02 Large takes the same rounded, faceted shape as the smaller Garota pendants and scales it up, so its warm glow reads clearly across a bigger terrace or garden room rather than getting lost in the space. It's woven by hand rather than moulded, and the light spreads out through the weave instead of shining directly.

Graphite Brown or Natural White

The Garota S/02 Large comes in two woven finishes. Graphite Brown leans dark and earthy, so it sits quietly against greenery or stone. Natural White is a lighter, ivory toned weave that stands out more against dark walls or evening planting and lifts the space around it even before it's switched on.

How It Works

An integrated LED sits behind the woven fibre, protected by a UV resistant polyethylene globe, so the light diffuses evenly through the shade rather than glaring from one point. It runs at 17.1W and 2064 lumens, in a warm 2700K white with a CRI of 90 for accurate colour. It works with a Triac dimmer, and the drop is adjustable from 1080mm to 2290mm on a 120mm ceiling plate, so it can be hung at the right height for the space below it.

Bover began in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover sketched the idea for an architect friend's project. The company still designs and makes its lighting in Spain, based in Cardedeu near Barcelona, and opened a subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012 to serve the US market.
