A Trail of Woven Light for the Garden
The Garota Catenary S/27/4L strings four rounded, hand woven shades along a single weatherproof cable, creating a festoon of soft light that can be draped between trees, across a pergola, or along a garden wall. Each shade takes its shape from the wider Garota family, with a gently curved silhouette that glows evenly rather than casting a hard beam.
Brown or Ivory White, on a Black Cable
The four shades are available in a warm brown weave or a lighter ivory white, both strung along the same black neoprene cable so the run itself disappears into the evening and lets the shades do the work. Brown suits a run through planting or timber, while ivory white lifts a paler wall or pergola.
How It Works
Each shade holds its own integrated LED, 6W and 450 lumens at a warm 2700K with a 90 CRI, sitting behind a UV resistant polyethylene globe that spreads the light through the weave rather than letting it glare directly. The cable runs 4000mm from the first shade to the last, with a further 4000mm between the last shade and the plug, and the shades themselves hang on a 700mm drop with 735mm between each one. The whole fitting is rated IP66 and wired to a Class II, double insulated standard, so it can stay connected outdoors through the seasons. Moonlight Design recommends that all outdoor lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Its length and spacing suit larger outdoor spaces, strung across a terrace for a garden party, along a pergola beam, or between trees at the edge of a lawn, anywhere that calls for a run of ambient light rather than a single fitting.

Bover began in Barcelona in 1996, when Joana Bover turned a sketch for an architect friend's project into the brand's first piece. It's still designed and produced in Spain, based in Cardedeu near Barcelona, and has built its outdoor range around hand woven synthetic fibre pieces like the Garota, alongside intricate wood lattice indoor fixtures such as the Dome family. The brand carries a Mediterranean design sensibility throughout, and opened a US subsidiary in Atlanta in 2012.
