A Woven Lantern for the Garden
The Amphora 01 is a hand woven outdoor floor lamp shaped like its namesake, a rounded, faceted silhouette that glows from within rather than throwing a hard beam of light. Left outside through rain, frost or full sun, it's built to hold its shape and colour for years rather than months.
Two Ways to Wear It
The Amphora 01 comes in two woven finishes: a light beige weave for a softer, sandy look, and a richer rattan brown that reads more natural among planting. Both use the same synthetic fibre weave over an aluminium and stainless steel frame, so the choice really comes down to which tone suits your garden.
How It Works
Inside the weave sits a UV resistant polyethylene globe that diffuses two LED E27 bulbs (up to 15W each, not included), so the light spreads evenly through the lantern rather than glaring from one point. The metal frame is coated with cataphoresis and epoxy polyester paint before the fibre is woven over it, and the whole fixture carries an IP66 rating, Class I electrics, and a 3 pin plug fitted as standard. At 775mm tall and 490mm in diameter, it works as a standalone piece or grouped in twos or threes.
Where It Works Best
Its scale and glow suit patios, terraces and garden beds where you want ambient light rather than task lighting, standing among planting, along decking, or beside outdoor seating.

Bover was founded in Barcelona in 1996 by Joana Bover and still designs and produces its lighting in Spain, with a Mediterranean sensibility that runs from clean, sleek pieces through to intricately hand woven designs like the Amphora. The brand states that all Amphora pieces are hand woven from a recyclable, non toxic synthetic fibre.

Can I return it if I change my mind?
No, Bover fittings are made to order, so the Amphora 01 can't be returned once ordered.
