Utopia Walton Single Wall Light - Bright Nickel Plate & Clear Glass

The Utopia Walton is a single wall light finished in bright nickel plate and paired with a clear glass shade, a straightforward design that sits comfortably in both modern and more traditional interiors. It takes a single bulb, so it works well as an accent light beside a mirror, along a hallway, or flanking a chimney breast, rather than as the main source of light in a room.

The bright nickel and clear glass finish

The fitting itself is made from steel with a bright nickel plated finish, giving it a cool, reflective tone that catches the light rather than absorbing it. The clear glass shade sits over the bulb without diffusing much of the light, so you'll see more of the filament glow than you would with a frosted or opal shade. As with any plated and hand finished metalwork, expect a small amount of natural variation from piece to piece.

How the Utopia Walton wall light works

It's designed for a single 6W E14 candle bulb, which is not supplied, so you'll need to add your own to suit the brightness and colour temperature you prefer. It's dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs and pair the fixture with a compatible dimmer switch. Electrically it's Class I, meaning it requires an earth connection as part of a properly wired circuit. As with any mains wired wall light, we'd recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, who can confirm the wiring and earthing are correct for your home.

Where this wall light works best

Being rated IP20, the Walton is intended for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere it might get splashed, so it's a good fit for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, kitchens and hallways where you want a softer, secondary layer of light alongside your main fitting.
