Utopia Twist Grand Pendant - Brushed Gold Plate & Clear Glass - 89cm Diameter

The Utopia Twist Grand Pendant is a large scale statement light built around a circular frame finished in brushed gold, hung with strands of clear glass rods that have each been given a gentle twist along their length. At 89cm in diameter it makes a real impact over a dining table, kitchen island or in a wide hallway, and the drop can be adjusted to suit ceilings of different heights.

Brushed gold finish and twisted glass

The frame carries a brushed gold finish with a soft, low glare quality rather than a mirror bright shine, and slight variation in tone from one fitting to the next is simply part of its character. Hanging from the frame are rows of clear glass rods, twisted along their length, which catch and scatter light as you move around the room. Made from a steel and aluminium alloy frame with glass detailing, it sits well alongside other brass and gold toned fittings, plain glassware and mirrored surfaces.

How this pendant light works

Light comes from an integrated 83W LED source producing around 3700 lumens in a warm white 3000K tone, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace over the life of the fitting. It can be dimmed when paired with a compatible trailing edge dimmer switch. The drop is adjustable from around 35cm up to 165cm using the 150cm cable, so it can be set correctly whether it hangs low over a table or from a higher ceiling. The fitting is wired to Class II electrical standards. As with any ceiling light, we recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, and since it weighs 4.9kg, it is worth checking that the ceiling fixing point at your installation spot can take the weight before hanging it.

Its scale and warm gold tones suit living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and hallways, and it is particularly effective as a feature piece over a kitchen island or dining table, where its full 89cm diameter can be seen and appreciated from below.
