With a patina finish, expect gentle variation in tone from one fitting to the next, that's part of the character rather than a flaw. The frame is steel with a glass shade, giving it enough weight to feel substantial on the wall without being heavy handed in a room.

How the Utopia Swirl wall light works

It takes a single 10W LED E27 bulb, which is not supplied, so you'll want to have one ready before installation. It's dimmable, but only if dimmable bulbs are used. As a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than fitted as a DIY job. Once wired in, there's no further assembly required beyond fitting the bulb and shade.

Where it works best

With an IP20 rating, this is a fitting for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere splash prone. It suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, kitchens and hallways, anywhere you want soft, ambient wall light rather than a main overhead source. In a kitchen, keep it away from splash zones such as the sink or hob given the IP20 rating. Try it flanking a bed, either side of a console table, or along a hallway wall where its curved silhouette can be appreciated at eye level.
