Utopia Spike 6 Light Pendant - Antique Brass - 60cm Diameter

The Utopia Spike is built around a cluster of slender arms that fan outward from a central point, each one tipped with a candle style bulb holder, giving the fitting a striking starburst silhouette overhead. It reads as sculptural rather than fussy, the kind of pendant that becomes the focal point of a room simply through its shape rather than through any heavy ornamentation.

The antique brass finish

This version is finished in antique brass over a steel frame, paired with glass detailing that catches the light along each arm. The aged brass tone has a soft, slightly weathered warmth to it rather than a hard mirror shine, and it works well against darker walls, warm wood tones, or alongside other aged metal fixtures in a room. Steel and glass together mean the fitting stays light in appearance despite its wide reach.

How this pendant light works

The fitting takes 6 x E14 candle bulbs, or LED equivalents, and bulbs are not included so you can choose the tone and brightness that suits the room. It can be used with dimmable bulbs if you want to bring the light down for evenings, though a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs are needed to do this. The drop is adjustable, from around 57cm down to as much as 202cm, so it can be set to suit both standard ceiling heights and taller stairwells or double height spaces.

As with any hardwired ceiling light, we recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. Given its weight, it is also worth checking that the ceiling fixing point at the installation site is solid enough to take a fitting of this size before mounting it.

Its scale and presence make it a natural choice for living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms where you want a statement piece rather than a purely functional light, and it also suits hallways with enough headroom to let the arms spread out properly.
