Utopia Sphere Single Wall Light - Matt Black & Smoked Mirror Glass

The Utopia Sphere Single Wall Light brings a quiet, sculptural presence to any wall. A slender steel arm curves upward to hold a single smoked mirror glass shade, giving the fitting a look that is understated rather than showy, the kind of piece that quietly anchors a room without competing with anything else on the wall.

A matt black finish with smoked mirror glass

The frame is finished in matt black steel, which reads more as a soft charcoal than a true flat black and helps it sit comfortably alongside both warm and cool colour schemes. The shade itself is smoked mirror glass, so it has a faintly reflective, tinted quality that diffuses light gently rather than casting a hard beam. As with any glass and metal fitting, expect very slight natural variation piece to piece.

How this wall light works

It takes a single 7W E14 golf bulb, which is not supplied, so you will need to pick one up separately, and choosing a dimmable bulb means the fitting can be used with a dimmer switch if you have one fitted. The light is Class II, meaning it does not require an earth connection. As with any hardwired fitting, we would always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than tackling the wiring yourself.

At roughly 29cm in height, 15cm in width and with a 20cm projection from the wall, it is a compact fitting that suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and dining rooms alike, either as a single accent beside a mirror or doorway, or used in pairs to flank a fireplace, headboard or hallway run.
