Utopia Sphere Single Pendant - Matt Black & Smoked Mirror Glass

The Utopia Sphere Single Pendant brings a simple, sculptural shape to a single drop light, pairing a slender arm with a rounded glass shade. It has a quiet, understated presence that works well as a single feature above a table or in a run of two or three across a kitchen island, without ever feeling fussy.

This version combines a matt black frame with a smoked mirror glass sphere, so the shade reflects light and its surroundings rather than sitting flat and opaque. The steel and glass construction gives it a bit of weight and solidity in the hand, and the dark finish means it reads as a neutral that will sit comfortably against most wall colours and metal finishes already in the room.

How this pendant light works

Each pendant takes a single 10W E27 GLS bulb, which is not supplied, so you can choose the tone and brightness that suits the space, and it is dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The cable and drop are adjustable, giving you a hanging range of roughly 76 to 86cm to work with depending on your ceiling height. It is rated Class II, and as with any hardwired ceiling light, we would always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. At around 2.1kg, it is also worth checking that your ceiling fixing point is suitable to take the weight before installation.

Where it works best

With an IP20 rating, this pendant is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or anywhere with direct exposure to moisture. It suits living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, and works equally well as a single central pendant or grouped over a kitchen island or dining table.
