Utopia Ribbon Hoop Pendant - Gold - Large

The Ribbon Hoop Pendant is a large scale ceiling light built around a single continuous loop, so instead of reading as a cluster of individual shades it reads as one sweeping ring of light. At 85cm across, it is sized to act as a genuine focal point in a room rather than sitting quietly in the background, and its drop can be adjusted to suit a high ceiling or a lower one.

This gold finish

Here the loop is finished in gold, giving the metal a warm, reflective glow that catches the light rather than absorbing it. The frame combines steel and aluminium for the structure, with a silicone element used to soften and diffuse the integrated LED. It is a finish that tends to sit comfortably alongside other warm metal fittings and fixtures in the same room, rather than competing with them.

How this pendant light works

The light source is an 88W integrated LED producing 5800 lumens at a warm white 3000K colour temperature, so there are no separate bulbs to source or replace over the life of the fitting. It can be dimmed, but only when it is paired with a trailing edge dimmer switch. Electrically it is rated Class II. As with any mains wired ceiling light, installation should be carried out by a registered NICEIC electrician, and because the fitting weighs around 3kg, it is worth checking that your ceiling fixing point can safely take that weight before it goes up.

With an IP20 rating, this pendant is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or anywhere with direct exposure to moisture.
