Utopia Planet Table Lamp - Gold

The Utopia Planet Table Lamp brings together three very different materials, steel, concrete and glass, in a single light fitting that feels grounded rather than fussy. It holds one bulb and is designed to sit happily on a bedside table, sideboard or console, adding a warm pool of light without dominating the surface it stands on.

The gold finish

This version is finished in gold, giving the metalwork a soft glow that catches the light rather than shouting for attention. Paired with the solid weight of the concrete base and the clarity of the glass, it reads as understated rather than showy, and works equally well against pale walls or darker, moodier schemes.

Table lamp: how it works

It takes a single 3W LED G9 bulb, which is not supplied, so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the room. There's no integrated LED module, which means the bulb is a simple, replaceable part rather than something you'll need to change the whole fitting for. This lamp is not dimmable, so bear that in mind if you like to control light levels with a dimmer switch. As with any mains powered lighting, we'd suggest having a registered NICEIC electrician handle any wiring work you're not confident doing yourself.

Where it works best

Being a compact, single bulb table lamp, it suits a bedside spot as easily as a living room console or a dining room sideboard, and it's a nice option for a hallway table too where you want a bit of ambient light without overhead glare. It's built for everyday indoor rooms rather than anywhere damp, so keep that in mind when deciding where to place it.
