The Utopia Planet 4 Light Linear Pendant brings a row of four glass shades together along a slim steel bar, making it a natural fit above a kitchen island, dining table or long console where you want even, spread out light rather than a single pool from one shade.
The gold finish
This version is finished in gold, giving the steel frame a warm, understated glow rather than a shiny, mirror like shine. Each shade is glass, so expect the usual small variations in texture and clarity that come with glass shades, that's part of the appeal rather than a flaw.
How this pendant light works
It takes four G9 LED bulbs of up to 3W each, and bulbs are not included, so you'll need to add your own before fitting it. The pendant is dimmable, provided you pair it with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, standard bulbs won't allow this. The drop is adjustable, running from around 46cm up to 72cm, so you can set the height to suit your ceiling and the surface below. It carries an IP20 rating, which means it's designed for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere damp. As with any mains wired light fitting, we'd always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, and because it weighs around 2.6kg, it's worth checking that your ceiling fixing point can comfortably support that before you hang it.
Where this linear pendant works best
Its long, low profile makes it especially suited to kitchen islands and dining tables, though it works equally well in a living room, bedroom or hallway wherever you want a run of light rather than a single central point.
