The Utopia Overlay Wall Light comes as a twin pack, so you get a matching pair of two light wall fittings, ideal for hanging either side of a bed, mirror or hallway run. Each fixture holds two lamps, giving a soft, layered glow rather than a single hard point of light, and the antique gold leaf finish gives the metalwork a warm, slightly aged look rather than a flat, uniform shine.

About the antique gold leaf finish

The body is steel, dressed in an antique gold leaf finish. Leaf finishes are applied by hand, so small natural variations in tone between fixtures are normal and part of the character rather than a flaw. It has a traditional, slightly worn look that sits well against darker paint colours, papered walls, or alongside brass and other aged metal details already in the room, such as door furniture or a mirror frame.

How this wall light works

Each fixture takes two G9 LED bulbs, 3W each, which are not included, so you can choose the colour temperature and brightness that suits the room. It is dimmable, provided you fit dimmable bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. This is a Class I fitting, meaning it must be properly earthed, and as with any mains wired light we would recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than wiring it in yourself.

With an IP20 rating, this pair is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere damp or steamy. Think hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms, used as a pair either side of a headboard or fireplace, or spaced along a hallway or landing wall.
