The Overlay wall light takes its name from its layered design, with two light sources set within a steel frame finished in antique silver leaf. It's a wall light built to add gentle, diffused illumination rather than a single bright point, making it a good option for anyone wanting to soften a room rather than flood it with light.

About this finish

This version is made from steel and finished in an antique silver leaf, giving it a slightly aged, textured look rather than a flat, uniform shine. Because the finish is applied by hand, you may notice small variations from one piece to the next, which is part of its character rather than a flaw. The silver tone pairs comfortably with warm woods, muted greys, and other metallics, so it slots into both traditional and more contemporary interiors without fighting for attention.

How it works

This fitting takes 2 x 3W LED G9 bulbs, which are not supplied, so you'll need to add your own before installation. It is dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, standard bulbs won't dim on their own. As with any mains wired wall light, we'd recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician to make sure the wiring and connection are safe and compliant. The fitting comes with a 2 year warranty.

Where it works best

With an IP20 rating, this light is designed for dry indoor spaces only, so keep it away from bathrooms or anywhere it might be exposed to steam or splashing. It suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and hallways particularly well, either as a pair flanking a feature wall or as single accent points along a corridor or staircase.
