The Utopia Matrix Pendant Chandelier builds its shape from a cluster of straight tubes, each one capped in satin brass and paired with a column of ribbed, frosted glass. With twelve individual lights arranged across a 73.5cm span, it reads as a sculptural centrepiece rather than a single fitting, the kind of piece that draws the eye upward without needing anything else on the ceiling around it.
The satin brass finish
This version is finished in a warm satin brass across its steel frame, with the metal caps and rods carrying the glass columns in a grid like arrangement. The frosted, ribbed glass softens the light source and adds a bit of texture against the smoother metalwork, so the fitting has some visual depth even before any bulbs are switched on. Being hand finished, expect the brass to show very slight, natural variation from one piece to the next.
How the chandelier works
It takes twelve G9 LED bulbs, each rated at 3W, and the bulbs themselves are not supplied so you will need to source these separately. It works with dimmer switches, provided dimmable bulbs are fitted. The drop is adjustable from 58cm down to 82cm, which gives some flexibility for different ceiling heights. As a mains wired fitting, we recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. The chandelier weighs around 4kg once assembled, so it is worth checking that your ceiling fixing point is solid enough to take that weight before installation.
Where it works best
Its width and drop suit rooms with a bit of ceiling height and open floor space beneath it, think dining tables, kitchen islands, or a living room seating area where it can hang as a focal point. It also works well in bedrooms and hallways with generous head height. As an indoor fitting, it is not intended for bathrooms or outdoor spaces.
