The Utopia Martini pendant chandelier brings a touch of glamour to a ceiling without feeling heavy handed about it. Six lights are arranged around a slender frame, each dressed with a clear faceted glass shade, so the fitting reads as much like a piece of jewellery for the room as it does a light source. At 55cm across, it has enough presence to anchor a dining table or stairwell without overwhelming the space.

Bright nickel and clear glass

This version is finished in bright nickel, a cool, reflective metal tone that pairs naturally with contemporary greys, whites and darker paint colours. The clear glass shades catch and scatter light rather than hiding it, so you get a bit of sparkle across the ceiling and walls once the bulbs are on. Steel and glass make up the main construction, giving the fitting a satisfying weight and a slightly cool touch when you first handle it during installation.

Chandelier pendant lighting: how it works

The fitting takes 6 x 6W LED E14 bulbs, which are not supplied, so you will need to source these separately before it can be installed. It is dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch, standard non dimmable bulbs will not respond to a dimmer. The drop is adjustable, running from around 60cm up to 190cm, which gives some flexibility for higher ceilings or spaces where you want the chandelier sitting lower over a table. As this is a mains wired fitting, we would always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. Because it weighs around 5.6kg, it is also worth checking that your ceiling fixing point can comfortably take that weight before you hang it.
