Built from steel and glass, this fitting pairs a warm, aged brass tone with faceted clear glass shades that catch the light nicely when the lamps are on. The antique finish is designed to look a little lived in from the start, so do not be surprised by soft variations in tone from one fitting to the next, it is part of the character rather than a flaw. It works well next to other brass or mixed metal hardware, and equally happily on its own against a painted wall.

How this wall light works

Each fitting takes 2 x 6W LED E14 bulbs, which are not supplied, so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the room. It is dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch, standard LEDs will not dim on their own. Electrically this is a Class I fitting, meaning it requires an earth connection, so installation should always be carried out by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than attempted as a DIY job.

Where it works best

With an IP20 rating, this light is intended for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere damp or splash prone. It suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways particularly well, whether used as the main light source or as softer accent lighting either side of a mirror, fireplace or console table.
