Utopia Lustre 10 Light Ring Pendant - Satin Brass Plate & Gloss White Glass

The Utopia Lustre 10 Light Ring Pendant is a large circular chandelier style light designed to hang as a genuine centrepiece, whether that's above a dining table, a kitchen island or in an open stairwell with the height to show it off. Ten lamp holders are set around a wide ring frame, so once fitted with bulbs it throws light generously in every direction rather than in one concentrated pool.

Satin brass plate and gloss white glass

This version pairs a satin brass plated frame with gloss white glass shades around each of the ten lights. The brass gives a warm, slightly muted metallic tone rather than a hard shine, while the white glass keeps the overall look soft and bright. As with any hand finished metal and glass piece, expect very small natural variation from one fitting to the next, which is part of the charm rather than a flaw.

How this pendant light works

Each of the ten arms takes a 3W G9 SMD bulb, so you'll need ten G9 bulbs to complete the fitting as bulbs are not supplied. The light is dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and use it with a compatible dimmer switch. The drop is adjustable, with the cable allowing the pendant to sit anywhere between roughly 30cm and 162cm below the ceiling, so it can be set for a low room or a tall stairwell alike. It's built to Class II electrical standard. As with any wired ceiling light, we'd always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, and because the fitting weighs around 4.8kg once assembled, it's worth checking that your ceiling fixing point is sound enough to take that weight before you hang it.

Where it works best

With a diameter of around 91.7cm, this is a statement piece rather than a discreet one, so it suits rooms with a bit of space around it, over a kitchen island, above a dining table, or as the main light in a living room, bedroom or generous hallway. Its scale and the number of lights make it a natural focal point in any room where you want the ceiling to do some of the talking.
