Utopia Finesse 7 Light Cluster Ceiling Pendant - Bright Nickel & Clear Ribbed Glass

Seven lights gathered into a single cluster fitting, each one cradled by its own clear ribbed glass shade. Rather than a row of matching lamps, the Utopia Finesse pendant lets the seven shades sit at slightly different heights, so the finished effect feels layered and a little sculptural above a table or in an open stairwell. The ribbed texture in the glass catches and scatters the light rather than showing a bare bulb, giving a softer glow than a plain glass shade would.

The bright nickel finish

The frame and fittings are done in a bright nickel, a cool, reflective metal tone that reads as understated rather than shiny under normal room lighting. It sits well against the clear ribbed glass, letting the glass do most of the visual work while the metalwork holds everything together quietly. Steel and glass are the two materials used throughout, so expect a solid feel to the fitting rather than anything flimsy.

How this pendant light works

It takes seven E27 bulbs, each rated up to 10W, and none are supplied, so you can choose warm or cool LEDs to suit the room. It isn't dimmable out of the box, but it will work with a dimmer switch if you fit dimmable bulbs and pair it with a compatible dimmer. This is a Class I fitting, which means it must be properly earthed as part of the wiring. As with any mains wired ceiling light, we'd always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than tackling the wiring yourself. The cluster spans roughly 53cm across, with an adjustable projection of between 114cm and 134cm depending on how the chains are set at installation, so there's some flexibility to get the drop right for your ceiling height.

Where it works best

Its scale and cluster format make it a natural fit for a dining room table, a living room seating area, or a hallway with a bit of height to play with. It also suits bedrooms where you want something more characterful than a single central light. Because it's rated IP20, it's designed for normal dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or anywhere damp.
