The Utopia Finesse 7 Light Cluster Ceiling Pendant takes seven individual glass shades and gathers them onto a single ceiling plate, so instead of one central bulb you get a spread of light sources at slightly staggered heights. It reads more like a small chandelier than a standard pendant, and it suits a room where the ceiling fitting is meant to be noticed rather than just tolerated.

Bright nickel and clear glass

This version pairs a bright nickel frame with clear glass shades around each of the seven arms. The metalwork is steel, so it has some heft and holds its shape well, while the clear glass keeps the light open and unfiltered rather than diffused. Nickel has a cooler, slightly reflective tone next to brass or chrome, and it sits comfortably alongside both warm and cool colour schemes without fighting either one.

How this cluster pendant works

Each of the seven arms takes a 10W LED bulb with an E27 fitting; bulbs are not supplied, so you will need to add your own. The fitting is dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, so check compatibility before you buy your bulbs. The overall drop is adjustable, with a projection somewhere between 114cm and 134cm depending on how it is set up, which gives some flexibility for different ceiling heights. This is a mains wired fitting, so installation should be carried out by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than attempted as a DIY job.
