Utopia Finesse 7 Light Cascade Ceiling Pendant - Antique Brass & Clear Ribbed Glass

This cascade pendant brings together seven ribbed glass shades, each hung at a slightly different height beneath a slim antique brass frame, so the light falls in overlapping layers rather than one flat pool. It makes a striking centrepiece for a hallway or dining table, with the staggered shades giving the fitting a sense of movement and depth even before it's switched on.

The frame is finished in antique brass, a warm, aged tone that pairs naturally with dark wood, exposed brick or softer painted walls. As it's a hand finished metal, expect gentle variation from piece to piece, part of what gives it a lived in, characterful look rather than a uniform factory sheen. Each of the seven shades is clear ribbed glass, its fluted texture catching and softening the light so the bulbs glow rather than glare.

How it works: bulbs and installation

The pendant takes seven E27 LED bulbs rated at 10W each; bulbs are not supplied, so you can choose the colour and warmth that suits the room. Fit dimmable bulbs and the fitting can be used on a dimmer switch. It's built to Class I electrical standards, and as with any hardwired ceiling light, we'd recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. The drop is adjustable, from around 191cm down to 231cm, so it can be set to suit different ceiling heights.

Where it works best

Its scale and cascading shades make this pendant well suited to hallways, living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, anywhere with a bit of height to let the layered glass breathe. It carries an IP20 rating, which means it's designed for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere with direct exposure to moisture.
