Utopia Eton 5 Light Multi Arm Pendant - Satin Brass & Tapered Shades

The Eton is a multi arm pendant that takes five lights and spreads them out across a wide, slimline frame, so instead of one central glow you get a run of light points across the ceiling. It works well over a table or in a room where you want the light spread wide rather than pooled in one spot, and the tapered fabric shades soften each bulb into a warm, even light rather than a hard glare.

This version pairs a brass finished steel frame with fabric shades in a tapered silhouette. The brass gives the arms and fittings a warm, soft sheen rather than a hard mirror shine, and it sits comfortably alongside other metal tones in a room rather than demanding to match everything exactly. As with any handled metal finish, expect a little natural variation piece to piece, that's part of working with a finished material rather than a flat colour.

How this multi arm pendant light works

Each of the five arms takes a 6W LED bulb with an E14 fitting. Bulbs are not supplied, so you'll need to source five to suit, and if you'd like the option to dim, choose dimmable LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch, since the fitting itself can only dim if the bulbs support it. The pendant is wired to Class I electrical standards, and the drop is adjustable from around 69cm down to as long as 203cm, so it can be set to suit ceiling height and how low you want it to hang. As this is a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. At around 3kg, it's also worth checking that your ceiling fixing point can comfortably take the weight before installation.

With a diameter of around 69cm across the arms, the Eton suits rooms where you have space to let it spread out and be seen from below, think dining rooms over a table, living rooms as a statement centrepiece, bedrooms for a softer ambient glow, or a hallway with enough height to appreciate the shape. As it carries an IP20 rating, it's designed for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or anywhere with direct exposure to moisture.
