How this floor lamp works

It takes a single 10W LED bulb with an E27 fitting; the bulb itself is not supplied, so you will need to add your own. There is no dimming function, so it is designed to be used with a standard on and off switch rather than a dimmer. It is rated Class II, meaning it does not rely on an earth connection, though as with any mains wired lighting, it is worth having the plug, cable and connections checked over by a registered NICEIC electrician if you are ever unsure. Setup is simple: assemble the stem and base, fit a bulb, and plug in. There is no hardwiring or ceiling work involved.

At roughly 142cm tall, with a width of 24cm and a diameter of 34cm, it has enough presence to anchor a corner of a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway without overwhelming the space. It is rated IP20, which means it is intended for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or anywhere it might be exposed to moisture.
