This pendant is built around a single continuous ring, so instead of a cluster of bulbs or a boxy shade you get one clean circle of light hanging from an adjustable cable. It reads as understated rather than showy, a fitting that adds a soft architectural line to a room without competing with everything else going on beneath it.

The satin gold finish

This version is finished in gold with a satin texture, so it catches light gently rather than throwing back a hard shine. The ring itself is made from steel and aluminium, with silicone used around the light source. As it is finished by hand in small batches, expect some gentle variation from one piece to the next, which is part of the character rather than a flaw.

How it works

The pendant uses a 41W integrated LED source producing around 2000 lumens, so there is no separate bulb to buy or swap out later on, the light source is built into the fitting itself. It can be dimmed, but only when paired with a trailing edge dimmer switch, so check your existing switch or dimmer module is compatible before you rely on this. The fitting is rated Class II, meaning it is double insulated. As with any mains wired light, we would recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. It weighs around 2.5kg once assembled, so it is worth checking that your ceiling fixing point can comfortably take that weight before hanging it.

Where it works best

Because it is rated IP20, this pendant is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere splashes or steam are likely. It suits living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways particularly well, working equally as a single statement point over a table or seating area, or repeated along a hallway ceiling.
