Utopia Aura 5 Light Ceiling Pendant - Brushed Aged Brass & Champagne Glass

Five arms spread out from a central steel frame on this ceiling pendant, each one finished in brushed aged brass and paired with a champagne toned glass shade. It is a light built to be noticed from below rather than tucked away, the kind of fitting you choose when a room needs one clear focal point overhead.

The brushed aged brass and champagne glass finish

Brushed aged brass has a softer, more lived in quality than a polished metal, so expect warm gold tones that shift gently depending on the light in the room, and because the finish is applied by hand you may notice small variations from one pendant to the next rather than a perfectly uniform surface. The champagne glass on each arm takes the edge off the light source, so the pendant reads as a warm glow rather than a row of bare bulbs. It works well alongside other aged or antiqued metals nearby, and suits rooms with a more traditional or transitional feel.

Bulbs, assembly and installation

This pendant is designed for five 7W LED bulbs with an E14 fitting, and bulbs are not included, so budget for these separately when you order. It is dimmable, provided you fit dimmable LED bulbs. Some light assembly is needed once it arrives, and because it is a mains wired fitting on a Class I electrical rating, installation should be carried out by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than as a DIY job.

Where this pendant light works best

Give it space to hang properly and it earns its keep in a dining room, where it can sit lower over a table, or as the main light in a living room, bedroom or hallway with enough ceiling height to make use of the adjustable drop. With an IP20 rating, it is intended for dry indoor rooms and is not designed for bathrooms or anywhere it would face damp or steam.
