A Tall Line of Light, Over Two Metres High

The Tooy Tratti Ceiling light is designed by Cara\Davide and made from 3D printed nylon powder. It is a very tall fitting: it measures approximately 216cm high, 48cm wide and 5cm deep. It turns a single wall or ceiling position into one long gesture of light, which makes it a striking statement light for a hallway, stairwell or double height room.

Natural Powder Nylon, Finely Grained

The nylon has a natural powder finish with a slight texture, so the fitting looks sculptural even when it is off. Lit, it gives a diffused, even glow along its length rather than a hard line of LED. The pale surface is easy to live with against most wall colours.

How it works

The built in LED is rated 50W at 2700K and gives about 3200 lumens of warm white light. A remote driver is included, and it is phase cut dimmable. There are no bulbs to buy or change. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

Choose it where the space has the height to carry it, such as a hallway, a stairwell, a tall living room or a gallery wall. It is a strong feature on its own, and also gives plenty of ambient light. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei, Tooy is an Italian lighting brand from the Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and the brand's lamps are made in Italy.
