TOOY Structure 'Pilar & Viga' Horizontal 80cm Wall

An 80cm Linear Wall Light, a Beam on the Wall

The Tooy Pilar & Viga horizontal wall light in this size is designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea. It is a long, slim bar that is approximately 80cm long, 8.5cm deep and 16cm high. Fixed to the wall it works like a horizontal beam of light, well suited as a wall light above a headboard, a sofa or a console.

Beige and Bronzed Steel Options

Bronzed Steel is the stronger choice, with a dark, warm metal look that draws a line across the wall. Beige is paler and calmer, and it blends with plaster and painted walls so the bar acts as a soft architectural detail. Both are the same shape and size.

How it works

A 31.5W integrated LED at 2700K is built in and gives around 1800 lumens of warm white light, so you do not need bulbs. It is a single emission fitting and dimmable with DALI 2 and push control, which needs a compatible dimming setup. It is wall mounted. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

At 80cm it suits a bed or sofa of standard width, a hallway console or a long stretch of landing wall. With 1800 lumens it gives enough light to feel useful as well as decorative. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Tooy began in 2015, when Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei launched it in Italy's Marche region as a spin off from Gibas. Gibas is the Giacomozzi family lighting company, which has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and Tooy lamps are made in Italy. The Structure collection is the work of architect Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea.
