A Small Horizontal Wall Light, Just 16cm Wide
The Tooy Pilar & Viga horizontal 16cm wall light is the beam in its smallest form, designed by Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea. It is a short, slim bar approximately 16cm long, 8.5cm deep and 16cm high. It is shallow enough for narrow corridors and tight spots, and works well as a small wall light for a hallway or bedroom.
Beige or Bronzed Steel
Beige is soft and pale, so the bar becomes a gentle line on the wall. Bronzed Steel gives it a darker, warmer tone, like a small metal detail that you notice up close. Either finish pairs well with natural materials.
How it works
A 4.25W integrated LED at 2700K is built in and gives around 250 lumens of warm white light. No bulbs are needed. It is a low output wall light, so it suits soft background lighting. We do not have dimming details for this version, so please ask us if you need to dim it. It is wall mounted. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
Because it is only 8.5cm deep, it fits where a bulkier light would stick out, such as a narrow corridor, a stair wall or the end of a bed. A run of several along a wall also works well. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Italian brand Tooy was set up in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in the Marche region. It grew out of Gibas, the Giacomozzi family company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and Tooy lamps are made in Italy. For Structure, Tooy worked with architect Marco Casamonti of Studio Archea.
