A Medium Fabric Pendant for Everyday Rooms

The Tooy Lilly medium suspension pendant is designed by Corrado Dotti and sits in the middle of the Lilly range. It measures about 32cm across and 21cm high on a 150cm cable, big enough to light a space and still stay light on the eye. The beige fabric and black net diffuser spreads a warm, even glow, which suits a fabric pendant light over a bedside, a desk or a small dining table.

One Considered Finish

The Lilly medium comes in a single combination: a Sand Black powder coated metal frame, a beige fabric shade and a fine black net over the top. The net gives the soft fabric a crisp outline, so the pendant looks tailored rather than fussy.

How it works

One E27 bulb of up to 15W is needed, and bulbs are not supplied. Fit a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer if you want to adjust the light. The 150cm fabric cable hangs from a ceiling fixing. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.

Where it works best

It works well over a bedside table, a reading chair, a console or a small round dining table. Two side by side work above a short kitchen counter. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The story behind Tooy

Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei founded Tooy in 2015 in Italy's Marche region. The brand began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti, who trained with Matteo Thun and then Armani Casa before opening his own studio in 2009, has been creative director since 2017. Tooy lamps are made in Italy.
